Notes: Most of the clippings are from the Manitoba Free Press, the Winnipeg Sun, the Fort MacLeod Gazette, the Prince Albert Herald, the Regina Leader, and the Saskatchewan Herald. This collection includes material on expenditures by His Honor the Lieutenant-Governor of the North-West Territories since 1883; a copy of a North-West Mounted Police certificate, employment list, invitation and pass; a report on the activities of the North-West Mounted Police; and the North-West Resistance of 1885. As well, there is W. H. Holland's Map of the Seat of Riel's Insurrection showing the connection of Prince Albert with other points in the North-West, trails and telegraph lines. Finally, there are photographs of Fort MacLeod in 1883 and Nicholas Flood Davin; and illustrations of Louis Riel and Major-General Middleton.
