Call #: MSS C555/2/13.9s
Author: Morton, Arthur Silver
Title: Whereas the policy of the Government of the Union or Dominion of Canada.... 1884?
Description: 5 pages.
Notes: Part of a series of drafts of petitions and lists of grievances Jackson drew up for the settlers' committee. The material was copied by Cicely Plaxton and is somewhat fragmentary and disorganised. This resolution outlines how the Dominion government mismanaged the natural resources, financial matters and political affairs of the North-West Territories during the 1870s and early 1880s. As well, reference is made to Métis land claims and the government's immigration policy.
