Author: Bingaman, Sandra Estlin
Title: The Trials of the 'White Rebels,' 1885
Notes: The "White Rebels" are William Henry Jackson, who was Riel's personal secretary, and Thomas Scott, who was the spokesman for the English halfbreeds living near Prince Albert. Bingaman provides a critical assessment of the trials and the circumstances surrounding them. She concludes that she was unable to find any evidence of grave injustice in them.
