Neil Brodie was one of 20 freighters who were transporting supplies for Colonel Otter's column from Swift Current to Battleford. They were captured by Poundmaker's warriors on 14 May 1885, and held captive until Poundmaker surrendered to the North West Mounted Police on 26 May. (Another copy in Pamphlets XLVIII-8)
