Title: One hundred and twenty days of active service : a complete historical narrative of the campaign of the 65th in the North West / Charles R. Daoust.
Published: [Edmonton? : s.n., 1982?]

Notes: Translation of: Cent-vingt jours de service actif. Shortt FC3215 .D38 1886.
Daoust was a sergeant in the 65th Battalion from Montreal. He gives a detailed account of the day to day affairs of the Battalion, but knew very little of the background or reasons for the Resistance. In this he likely provides an accurate picture of the common soldiers, ignorant of causes and conditions in the North West and prey to sensational rumours.
