Title: The 1885 North-West Campaign Diary of Lieutenant R. Lyndhurst Wadmore, Infantry school Corps
Notes: Wadmore, a Lieutenant of the "C" Company in Colonel Otter's Battleford Column, had an active part in the North-West Campaign, including the Battle of Cut Knife Hill on 2 May 1885. He kept a diary for the period 8 April to 20 July 1885. Although the diary does not provide a detailed account of any of the battles, it does describe the conditions and experiences of daily life on the campaign. Ross provides a good biographical note about Wadmore. The original diary is in the Pamphlet Collection #LXII-42 with a transcription at #LXII-43.
