Notes: Brown describes his arrival in Moose Jaw in 1883 and his trip to the new colony of Saskatoon in 1884. He recounts his various jobs as a teamster, telegraph line repairer, carpenter and labourer during the 1880s. As well, he explains his role as a messenger for General Middleton during the Northwest Resistance of 1885.
