This exhibit of souvenir images from Saskatchewan's southeast corner is drawn from the large
collection of early Western Canadian postcards held by the Special Collections Department
of the University of Saskatchewan Libraries. The cities of Estevan and Weyburn are featured
as well as smaller communities on or south of Highway 13 and east of Highway 35. Most of
these cards were produced in the first two decades of the 20th century, the Golden Age of
the picture postcard. The image labels include the text utilized on the original cards and
our local call numbers. The Department would welcome the opportunity to acquire additional
Saskatchewan postcards by gift or purchase.
