This exhibit addresses the themes of Campus As: Art, Memory, Home, Skill, Endangered, Extinct, Future through the use of a digital slide show of images from the University of Saskatchewan Photograph Collection (RG2104). Photos from this slide show and many others can be found in our photograph database.
The cabinets display associated archival, artefactual and special collections materials highlighting more specific themes such as the theory around the founding of the University, its agricultural legacy, student use, the Emma Lake Artists’ Workshops, the masonry care of the Thorvaldson Building, facilities management reports, architectural renderings and maquettes, the Memorial Gates, ethical considerations around demolition of buildings, and the foundation documents pertaining to Indigenous Peoples and the Land Back movement.
