Abstract:
Behind surface calm, with continued evident satisfaction on the part of the populace over recent events, Military Revolutionary Council, headed by General Duong Van Minh, was engaged in efforts, described by some as "indecisive", to organize workable provisional government. Their efforts were aimed at resolving certain differences among military and between military and civilian groups as to who is acceptable. Late, but unconfirmed reports, suggest their differences may have been overcome and that the composition of the provisional government may be announced shortly.
