Abstract:
The continued high level of Viet Cong activity, including two attacks in battalion strength, was overshadowed last week by two highly successful US military operations in the highlands and in Zone D north of Saigon. The political scene in Saigon remains quiet with Premier Ky again on a foreign trip, but there are some signs of growing disenchantment on the part of South Vietnam's Catholic leadership as well as of leftist intellectuals in the north of the country.
