Abstract:
On 10 April 1964 about 2,000 fully armed Viet Cong (VC) troops from North Vietnam accompanied by three Chinese Communist advisors and 18 members of the Central Committee of the VC National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam entered Tay Ninh Province and stationed themselves at Don Thuan, Khiem Hanh District, in the Boi Loi Secret Zone. Subsequently about 1,000 of these VC troops moved to Tra Vong, Phuoc Ninh District.
