Abstract:
On the evening of 5 May 1967 at Gia Lam airport, Hanoi, heavy anti-aircraft fire began at 2055 hours and continued until 2110 hours. During the alert North Vietnamese officials and employees at the airfield did not panic but they did appear nervous. After the all clear, the Hanoi control tower announced that the raid had taken place 40 kilometers from Hanoi.
