Abstract:

In general, demonstrations against US Vietnam policy abroad on 15-16 October were less extensive than anticipated. In Western Europe there were a number of such demonstrations, but attendance was very light. In Latin America, there was minimal response, and in Asia and Africa virtually none. No demonstrations were reported from Communist countries. The Communist press, however, gave the expected heavy coverage to the demonstrations in the U.S.
