Abstract:
The Situation in South Vietnam [political situation: Khanh continues to have confrontations with political leaders; Khanh has sought Minh's help in consolidating army support, and Khanh has had differences with Gen. Khiem over his activities on behalf of the Catholics. Military situation: Viet Cong activities continue to decline; ARVN casualties and weapons loss are high; pacification program is disrupting VC administration and logistics but has had no effect on infiltration capabilities; details of military activities and progress on pacification of critical provinces.
