Summary of Viet Cong Activities in An Xuyen Province during June 1967 [VC strength is not at its highest due to the need for personnel in northern South Vietnam and due to pressure from South Vietnamese forces; there have been indications of dissension between "stay behind" cadres and "regrouped" cadres returning from North Vietnam; VC interference with local elections will take the form of harassment of officials and pacification workers; after terrorist incidents the National Police have launched an anti-VC campaign, which has eliminated terrorist actions; the seven VC force companies have remained inactive; VC guerrillas receive no rice ration and must beg for food].
