Abstract:
On 23 March 1973 B-53 airstrikes caused heavy damage to two elements of the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) 1st Division located near Kaoh Tnaot village, Kampong Trach district, Kampot province, Cambodia. Following the airstrike four oxcarts carrying more than 30 dead and seriously wounded soldiers were seen moving in the direction of Tinh Bien district, Chau Doc province, South Vietnam. About 350 NVA soldiers who had not been wounded in the attack moved from the target area to near the South Vietnam border. On 3 April they moved in the direction of Tinh Bien district.
