Abstract:
In-country paramilitary operations, which comprise Combat Inteligence Team Program and Civilian Airborne Rangers Program, are now to be turned over to MACV for support and guidance. Reponsibility for support of paramilitary operations into Southern Laos is also recommended to be transferred to MAC effective 1 November 1963. For operations in North Vietnam, two recommendations are being made: 1) If it is to continue at current level, the program should remain under CAS support and guidance; 2) If it is to be expanded, the program should be trnasferred from CAS to MACV.
