Abstract:
Foreign Minister Tran Van Do has established an eight-man committee to prepare position papers for use by the Government of Vietnam (GVN) in any future negotiations. Saigon lawyer Vuong Van Bac has been made head of the committee. Vice-President Ky told Bac on 20 April that he, Ky, will head any negotiating delegation. On the previous day, however, Ky told a National Salvation Front group that he had merely recommended to President Thieu that the latter appoint him to that position.
