Time for a Spot of urlTea
This neat little tool was pointed out by Robin Good. urlTea is like TinyURL with a few extra useful features.With urlTea (pronounced Earl Tea) you can create short URLs but also follow the URL with a ?title_of_link.
e.g. http://urltea.com/gmx?verygoodisbad
Pop these URLs into Twitter to stay under your 140 character limit. Befriend urlTea and add a "Teabot" to Google Talk and Jabber to pour out those short URLs. And best of all, it has a handy bookmarkelet
