As Associate Dean of Research and Collections, I am responsible for overseeing the Research Support Services, Collections & Discovery, and University Archives & Special Collections divisions.
As an academic librarian, I specialize in information technology strategy to facilitate description, curation, discovery, access, and preservation of physical and digital knowledge materials. Before joining the University of Saskatchewan, I was an information systems consultant at IBM Canada.
I have earned a PhD in education from the University of Saskatchewan, a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of British Columbia, and a BSc in management and systems science from Simon Fraser University.

Research
My research focuses on user-centric ways of utilizing information technology to foster knowledge equity for non-Western and marginalized knowledge traditions and materials. I engage in community-based research to develop IT solutions to address the unique needs of ethnocultural communities for accessing and preserving traditional knowledge and to support digital pedagogy and scholarship. I am the lead researcher for Ginan Central and Geets Portal.
Research Areas: knowledge organization strategies and solutions, digital libraries, digital metadata systems, and linked data.
